Taste the best Gumbo in SoCal!

I really enjoyed Gumbo LaLa's delicious catering at a friend's recent  milestone birthday party. As a southerner, I am skeptical when it comes  to gumbo in California but this was the most authentic I have ever had  since moving here. The roux was dark and the flavor rich, balanced and  savory.  The other menu items were delicious as well, but the gumbo is  what lives on in my mind!

Gumbo LaLa is definitely the best gumbo! Delicious, very authentic and so flavorful. The Green Hatch Chile cornbread is amazing and goes so well with the gumbo. Instead of trying to get a Valentine's Day reservation, I put my trust in Gumbo LaLa as Cupid's coordinator, and I’m so glad I did. The green chile cornbread I ordered did not make it past the car ride home! We took the rest of our Gumbo LaLa order to enjoy with a Pendleton blanket, a picnic basket full of bowls, silverware, sparkling water and our appetites at a nearby garden. We devoured our order of the Chicken & Andouille Gumbo with basmati rice in one sitting. We enjoyed every bite of the dark roux of the gumbo and its rich flavors, balanced in cajun seasonings. My only regret is that I did not order the Cajun Spiced Chocolate Pots de Creme or Bananas Foster Banana Bread Muffins. I won't make that mistake again! Do yourself a favor and make Gumbo LaLa your next meal.
